Where Can I Find The Best Quality Bed Woodworking Plans?
Author: DarrenHey there, it’s Darren again,
In this post I wanted tell you about this great book I found to help you in all of your woodworking endeavours More importantly in it contains lots of bed woodworking plans for you to choose from which is probably why you’re here in the first place.
If you’d like to go straight to the bed woodworking plans then click the previous link now.
I have quite a few pieces of furniture in my home now that I’ve made myself. When we first moved into our home we had to make do with the pre-made flat pack cheap stuff you buy from chain stores, it didn’t take us long to realise that’s not what we wanted from a home that we may potentially spend the rest of our lives in.
That’s when I discided to take up woodworking as a hobby. After I’d made my first good piece I found it can be very rewarding. Especially when friends pop around and comment on how good a piece you’ve made is.
It’s hasn’t always been like that though, when I started making my own pieces I first tried them without any plans to work from and the results were less than exciting. It looked awful and fell to pieces within less than a year.
As for free plans, I tried these too, I’ve made two projects in total from them and I have to admit that one of them was a real gem but it took me four hours to find it. The second one was not quite as good, the blueprints were fine but it wasn’t exactly what I wanted and in the end I gave the piece away.
After all this I discided that the only way to get really good designs without spending hours and hours that I just don’t have looking for them was to to pay for them. So I started buying individual DIY designs.
I was happy doing this for quite some time as the quality was superb and if I hadn’t stumbled across this great resource I would probably still be doing it today.
The product I discovered is called Woodworking 4 Home. It contains 14,000 project plans, now that’s all well and good but at the time I was looking specifically for bed woodworking plans and I found them, quite a few of them in fact.
There were loft beds, bunk beds, platform beds, beds for toddlers and many more and that’s just the bed section not including the bedroom furniture bit.
There are over 100 categories including things like children’s room woodworking furniture, all sorts of animal houses, garden projects, fences, garages, mantel pieces television cabinets, and a really good section DIY for repairs around the home, just about any project you will want to create in the home or garden, there’s a plan for it.
You will need a printer or at least access to one because even with a laptop reading the plans off of a screen isn’t that easy and having such an expensive, delicate piece of equipment around hammers and power tools and stuff could end up being broken.
The book’s projects are suitable for all experience levels so it’s especially good for those wanting to take their hobby to the next level, making furniture that will impress just about anyone and the person wanting to take on more projects at home so you don’t need to hire out the work and in the end save yourself a lot of money.
